About the Access to Justice Foundation...
The Access to Justice Foundation (AJF) is a Kentucky non-profit created in 1996 to expand access to the civil justice system for low-income people by increasing volunteer lawyer involvement and expanding financial support for Kentucky's legal aid programs. AJF pursues these goals by coordinating statewide pro bono opportunities for volunteer lawyers, providing poverty law training, directing resource development activities, and providing free telephone legal assistance to seniors throughout Kentucky.
Kentucky Volunteer Lawyer Project (KyVLP)
The Kentucky Volunteer Lawyer Program (KyVLP) is a collaboration between the Access to Justice Foundation, Kentucky's legal aid programs, and the Kentucky Bar Association. The goal of the project is to increase awareness in the private bar of the need for volunteer attorneys by legal aid programs and encourage private attorney involvement. To volunteer, or to learn more about KyVLP, call Jackie Duncan, Director, KY Volunteer Lawyer Program, at 859.255.9913 ext. 12, or email at jduncan@ajfky.org
